Our spaniel (5 month old) has been a very poorly, she had a fever but thats gone down a bit and was throwing up all yesterday as well as having the squirts. She was also very lack lustre, hardly moved at all but today she is wagging her tail and flying around the house in usual spaniel style. The vet has given the wife some hill science pre digested food or something like that (comes in a silver packet) but never explained what it is. Anyone help as I can't find anything on google about it.

Vet reckons it was more bacterial/virus rather than having eaten something dodgy.

Suggest if you can getting raw chicken and trying her on a little of that. And I do mean a little.

She is normally on a raw diet, the pre packed food is just meant to be a temp thing till she is 100%. Well according to the vet. I am a little concerned though as the vet knows she is on raw but still gave her this.

Now call my a hypercondriac or is it Münchausen syndrome by proxy but I reckon my dog has/had SCI. see link below.

Very much doubt it is SCI, common things are commonest, and simple gastroenteritis is hugely more likely. Sounds as though the signs are abating which is good, appetite will come back soon, and the food options suggested are fine, but just don't overdo it for a day or so, light bland food until intestines has settled down and then back to the normal diet. If improvement doesn't continue then go back to vet before weekend.
So, on the present signs, yes you are a hypochondriac by proxy, but hopefully there will be nothing more to worry about soon.
