George hasn't got the hang of gardening yet.

In between the play fighting and sleeping with his best friend Goby a Huskey/Malumute,

They have had the occasional fight, my leg came out the worst in December. Thanks George.

For information, both George and Goby are receiving intensive training to eliminate the problem which appears to be a Goby issue.
George is very typical in nature to our previous Bulldogs but is very capable of protecting himself.
TIP:- Don't get between two fighting dogs, even by accident.

George apologizing.

My daughter giving them a good talking to

BAD NEWS frown

Goby has got into my daughters bag and scoffed down some Morphine tablets.
My Wife and Daughter have rushed him to the Animal hospital but they don't know if they can save him frown

Goby wishes to apologies for encroaching on the Bulldog thread (and the length of his nose) but wanted to personally thank telecat for his support and best wishes.

George however, is otherwise engaged.

I know the suspense. I had to hold Minnie Cat with her leg hanging off on the way to the emergency Vet. Not pleasant physically and not pleasant thinking of the decisions that could have to made. Glad to hear Goby is on the mend.

My wife is a bit worried.
He is home but keeps wetting himself and whimpering a lot.
Fingers crossed.

I'm in Germany at the moment and in hospital the last 5 days with chest pains so my wife is dealing with Goby. frown

There is very little to worry about at this point - the vet wouldn't have let you take him home if there was any worry smile

Some handsome dogs on here. And glad to hear Goby turned out ok

Here's a couple of my OTB. Just over 18 weeks now. Had him weighed last week, and he's just over 21 weeks. I think we underestimated his size, but he's a lovely, but lazy dog.

Here's a few pics of him now

A testament to how strong they are. I read somewhere that their noses are set back, so they can still breathe whilst holding onto what ever they have caught!

A few years ago I was in a pet shop that was selling breed specific dog food.

Each breed's feed had the breed name, then what was special about it, so e.g

LABRADOR
eases joint pain
Good for coats

etc.

Got to the one for me...

BULLDOG
controls flatulence

Such great pics, REAL characters! I have a couple of questions for English Bulldog owners / lovers, would really appreciate any info!

So can anyone tell me honestly what it's like owning one? Imagine you didn't yet love the dog, would he be a good 'housemate' or an absolute nightmare? What if you never really loved the dog, e.g. the spouse of a bulldog lover!, would the presence of the english bulldog in your home be a real nightmare to put up with even if you didn't have to do the cleaning / maintenance / etc?

Thanks for any advice, would be great to hear from real experiences with them.
