Yep..looks like about $7k plus all the recovery stuff. Still, she is otherwise strong, so hopefully she will pull through and be pretty much good as new. Earlier in the week she was happily destroying dog toys....
Will be driving down to Arizona in a while and hopefully she will be ably to drive back. Should have a better picture in a day or so. Thanks to everyone for the good wishes!
No chalk outline this time - or did the CSI drop round later? Will be driving down to Arizona in a while and hopefully she will be ably to drive back. Should have a better picture in a day or so. Thanks to everyone for the good wishes!
All clear at the local vet, lampshade gone, staples removed, and ready for training to live in a dense city, not an open desert for the summer. now 66 lbs, no idea where she will end up. My guess is that she will not be huge, maybe 115-120, but too early to tell. Danes take about two years to fully mature and she is just six months.
We have had a fairly eventful puppyhood, with a kidney removed, stomach tacking, spaying, and now a dose of Giardia, but that is being treated, We like travelling in the SUV , surprisingly like travelling in the Smart, but we are not really 911 fans.
There is certainly a hint of resemblance to Beetlejuice at this stage…..

9 months old...and I noticed when the 11 year old poodle walked by it appeared to have feathers on it.....
A trip to the kitchen revealed that the apparently dog proof dog bed....was not dog proof........and we evidently had a joyous time.
