The orange dog (Megan) became a family dog whilst I still lived at home a bit. Got her as a pup. I took her out with me a lot and spent hours every day walking. Once I started living on my own, there was a long gap where I couldn't have a dog full time but would have her at weekends and weeks off work. She's very dear to me and still 'my' dog wink

She's a mutt, but the Jack Russell is strong! She's extraordinarily bright and obedient but would be a complete handful if she got sight of a small furry thing to murder. She's still a pain now, but at 14 she's an easier pain to catch and sleeps a lot more.

Misty (the black/tan/other) mutt lives with us. We got her aged three as we felt we were able to have a dog but didn't quite have time for a pup and wanted to rehome. Misty is a doddle to look after in comparison, except she developed separation anxiety after a couple of years so we could no longer leave her for 4 hours in the afternoon as we previously did - she now comes to work with me.

Sorry for another photo dump. We were doing a race in Dorset yesterday so made it into a 48 hour trip.

Spent a morning wandering around Bluepool

Quite nice with lots of shade

And access to the water

Posers

Nearly ended in tears when Summer decided she wanted to be back with me and dragged Mrs Will down the hill flat out hehe I had to catch her before she ended up in the lake behind me.

Gently hinting that she woudnt mind some clotted cream if any is going spare.

Then on to Studland for a longer walk. I didnt really want her anywhere near me sat here but Summer thought it best if I was covered in sand

She was actually playing at walking up to the water and running away from the waves hehe The hill in the backgronund (down out towards Old Harry) was part of the route for the run on Saturday.

Bit of train spotting in Swanage, we also saw I think it was the Flying Scotsman passing through Salisbury on the way home.

Then the race on Saturday. Approx 14.5 miles of sand, hills and heat. Its our longest race to date and was bloody hard work, lots of water stops for Summer added to our time but her well-being is more important than any result.

Canicross runners had to start at the back so lots of people to overtake

Atop the previously mentioned down looking over Swanage at approx 9 miles in

Looking bksed approaching the finish

I came prepared with a wet, chilled towel for her, could have done with one myself

We were first placed canicross entry smile

Played a bit of fuel light bingo on the way home, trip computer said 0 with 11 miles to go to my planned stop but we made it lol.
Sat here today aching like hell with a dog who is nothing more than a bit sleepy, git.
