Wow, you can just take your dog now? What do you need to do? I have a feeling the Snoop Dog and I will be visiting me Dad in Spain next year.
PET PASSPORT is approx. £15.00 and your vet can organise this for you and stamp the passport to confirm microchip and vaccinations. When we take Lottie on Eurotunnel is it straightforward - have to remember to go to the pet control centre before you get to the car checkin area.
Travelling by plane is more complicated but we have not done this.
PETS Travel Scheme allows animals to re-enter the UK after travelling abroad without the need for quarantine.
1. Your dog pet needs to be identified by the implantation of an electronic microchip. T
2. Your dog needs to be vaccinated against rabies (it is illegal to vaccinate a non-microchipped animal).
Before entering the UK:
All pet dogs (including assistance dogs) must be treated for tapeworm. The treatment must be administered by a vet not less than 24 hours and not more than 120 hours (1-5 days) before its scheduled arrival time in the UK. We paid 26 Euros for the treatment.

Thanks for the information, does the Rabies shot distress the dog or is it straight forward?
It is an injection and didn't distress Lottie. She was 3 months old when she had the 'jab' (back of the neck between her shoulder blades).
The microchip injection did make her yelp a bit but she was fine afterwards.
Photo opportunity of little Lottie (@ 3 months)at home after her injection (I think she looked fairly relaxed).
Can't help myself when it comes to posting photos of her

Ooh how long does it take to get a pet passport. Going on a road trip in a few weeks. Enough time? Was going to leave him at home. Which I'm not happy about. When we take Lottie on Eurotunnel is it straightforward - have to remember to go to the pet control centre before you get to the car checkin area.
