Not too late for us to wish Lottie a Happy Birthday I hope. Sounds as though you are all having a great time.
Daphne and Holly.
Thank you both - very kind.Daphne and Holly.
We have been out for dinner and rather tired after last night's shenanigans & it does not help that the temperature is 29 degrees @ 2300hrs - very humid.
Lottie had a GREAT birthday.
Wednesday 3rd:
I haven't the heart to tell her we have to see the local vet for her worm tablet/passport update before the 1,400 mile journey home.

R.I.P Bernard. He died last week, just a few weeks off his 14th birthday. That's a very good innings for a Bully, especially as they all appear to be born with a death wish! He lost his muscle mass and aged surprisingly quickly, then his heart started to fail, and last week it just stopped. I couldn't have wished for a better end for him to be honest..no pain or distress, just lights out. Gawd bless him!

What a handsome chap. 14 years is a good innings but its never enough is it. johnxjsc1985 said:

I love this picture and the "he'd only turn left on a walk" tale. Haha. I love dogs. They're fabulous. bernhund said:

From someone with an over age Smooth Fox Terrier, that is currently defying the aging laws......

ogs eating (or licking) from human plates makes my skin crawl.
I wouldn't go so far as to say it make my skin crawl, but it's definitely not 'just a photo, no harm done' when your dog's licking plates in a restaurant. Plus it's not like the thread's photobombed daily with hundreds of pics of Lottie that we can't do without one of her licking a plate in a restaurant. This is probably my favourite thread on PH, but IMO that's bad form from Resse - I'd certainly not be happy, no matter how cute the dog - if I saw that when I was out for a meal somewhere.

Sorry but that's really taking the piss. I love dogs but having them licking plates is a big no, let alone in a restaurant FFS RESSE said:

That seems a bit childish. Nobody was being particularly rude were they... merely expressing opinions that it perhaps isn't very fair on other people. And its definitely not fair on the restaurant owner as he can't win either way the second someone complains (or even sees it but doesn't complain)RESSE said:

Why's that? Opinions seem to universally say you were out of order letting your dog lick a plate in a restaurant, I don't think there are any opinions that say they no longer wish to see photos of what appears to be a very happy dog enjoying life with owners who clearly love it to bits. Can't see why that should be reason to no longer post.Gassing Station | All Creatures Great & Small | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
