Dont let this thread become like the rest of PH - spoilt by petty arguing...

Resse - PLEASE do not stop posting pics of Lottie - she never fails to make both of us here smile.....

Agreed. This is one of the best threads on PH and it really does not need to be ruined by picking arguments.
Indeed. And now that the 'arguments' have stopped can we not keep posting about them?! smile

Here's Poppy Lurcher, having discovered the delights of rolling in cowpats!

Ewwww, cow pats are pretty whiffy - almost as bad as fox poo yuck

Not sure what dogs are thinking when they roll, but they always seem pretty happy with themselves afterwards!

He's just wondering when your going to feed him next.

That's the look mine get about 10 mins after being fed.

The cowpats were new for her, but even a quick dip in the river didn't get it all off.

Normally Poppy loves this particular field because there's plenty of goose poo to roll in! She comes home with green spots all over her when we walk here. Strange dog. smile

I avoid fields where we might find fox poo, for this precise reason!

Its instincts.... helps them disguise their own scent when hunting.

I would like to offer my sincere apologies to KFC and Antony plus anyone else for my terse reply to their posts.

I posted after a 684 mile journey from Spain into France when I was overtired.

I should be man enough to respect other's opinions and views, and while driving from Montauban to Bethune in Northern France (548 miles) today it gave me chance to reflect. Nothing like a good drive to clear one's mind.

Once again, no offence meant and I trust we can be 'ok'?

Sincerely,

Richard

Haha, no worries laugh

How was the trip back?

I've got a rescue dog about to make a similar trip next week. Portugal > UK, going to my parents.

Trip is fine, Lottie sleeps most of the time and you wouldn't know she was in the car.

Plenty of stops/water etc helps to make her comfortable.

Trip to Spanish vet was 26 Euros for worm tablet and Passport signatures/check (all ok).
