I'm picking up this one later. He's stuck in the vets after we cleared out a gypsy camp of the ill treated animals a couple of weeks ago, nowhere to go and I felt sorry for him so looks like I've got a new addition

I'm not surprised you felt sorry for him, poor chap looks like he's been in the wars. Good luck and I'm sure he'll appreciate his new home. Do you know how old he is?
The vet estimated 2-5 years on the first look, but he's had him 2 weeks nearly now so I'll know better today. We removed I think 6 dogs from a gypsy site, the state of some of them was unbelievable. We even found a dead dog INSIDE one property, the owner claimed to not have realised. Then just picked up the dead dog and flung it over his back fence. All the other volunteers were women and we were massively out numbered so if I'd done what I felt like doing at that moment it wouldn't have worked out too well for me I don't think Heres a photo album of the rest of them - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.73819636...
This one died already, too far gone to save :

now why is it that we allow these people just to walk or drive away from situations like this.Heres a photo album of the rest of them - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.73819636...

why do they never do checks on the vehicles leaving the site. They will be un taxed un insured running on Red diesel all the things we would get hammered for.

What can you do though ? You go in one camp and it looks like Bosnia. Half dead dogs running around the place, but no one specific person willing to claim ownership of it. With rampant crime and everything else the police have more pressing issues with these scumbags than a couple of manky dogs... hence volunteer involvement in dealing with that in the first place. why do they never do checks on the vehicles leaving the site. The reason I ask is that I was in Lanzarote in October and saw an English couple walking a dog who looked just like your Lottie. I only see her on here but did a double take!
I wish we were in Lanzarote as the weather in Shropshire (home) is a bit cooler. Since we had Lottie I have only seen one Jackadoodle.

We got our latest puppy from a puppy farm and it was just over a kilo in weight.
In just a week he has changed out of all recognition and he is a happy little chap full of life,
The reward of taking in a rescue Dog is huge and the loyalty and affection we have had from 5 dogs now is incredible and humbling.
I would say best of luck but I am sure both he and you will not need it.
good on you.
I don't own dogs myself, but my ex did. Meet Louis, also commonly known as Lubs, Lu, Lulu, Lee, Leelee, Leeban, Lushao and Lubinho. I had no experience of dogs before I met him but he grew to become my very best friend, we got on like a house on fire - although when I visited a few months ago he barely looked in my direction so I am led to believe that he only used me for tickles. Poor boy is getting on quite a bit though (I believe he celebrated his 16th birthday the other day) so made sure to say my goodbyes when I left.
Here he is:
This is his 'tickle me FFS!'-look:

I've been giving the dog ribs today, he's now started burying or hiding a few of them around the house Poor little guy doesn't understand he can eat them now and get another one later too if he's hungy.
My other rescue dog thinks she's won the lottery though... already found a handful of his hidden treats today

I'm a bus driver.
I was driving early this morning in a residential area and I spotted a yorkie standing on the pavement on it's own. I stopped the bus and had a quick look round for it's owner, but there was not a soul about!
I got out of the bus and walked up to the yorkie fully expecting it to run off, but it came to me. Poor thing was shaking like a leaf and scared stiff.
I took it onto my bus and it had a collar on with a phone number, so I called the number but got an answer machine, the dogs name was izzie.
I got my spare lead out of my bag(spare lead in my work bag and car) and hooked up the dog, I went for a quick walk up and down the street but no one in sight.
I called my garage who told me to keep the dog in the cab with me until I got back to the depot.
Whilst on my way back to depot, my mobile rings, I pull over and answer it and it was the woman who's dog it was, she was very very relieved.
Her husband met me at the bus station and told me that they had only lived in the house for 5 weeks and the wind this week had blown a hole in the fence and the dog had got out, and that his daughter was at home balling her eyes out.
He was very grateful.
Best picture I got of the dog;
