Sorry to hear of your loss, we lost our faithful old black lab in June, still getting over him but this little fellah as a replacement is helping a lot.....

At long last I have found a local taxi company that will accept dogs in their cars, so trips to the pub will be much more fun (for me)!

For anyone else reading, there are usually a bunch of 'pet transport' companies that do vet runs etc. They don't even usually cost anything more than a regular taxi, and you are welcome to go to. So they're ideal for pub trips etc... you'll just likely need to book in advance.

Re the post above and carrots... mines are getting stuck into a bag of them today. So much more cheaper than Dentastix laugh

Whilst walking Mia yesterday ...

We came across a handsome fella I'd never seen before

A Northern Inuit. Absolutely gorgeous dog. And it was huge, easily wolfhound size.

Further research and recalling the conversation it was a Northern Inuit crossed with an Irish Wolfhound which now explains the horse like size and beautiful colouring. What a hound.

I used to have a golden retriever that LOVED carrots. I was shooting and was pegged in a recently harvested carrot field. The place was strewn with carrots that hadn't been harvested properly. He thought he'd died and gone to heaven.

The current goldie HATES carrots. If he finds them in his food, he spits them out.

Get yourself a nice glass of something and get the photos out and enjoy all the wonderful memories you had together.
By the way what a handsome fella.
Thank you, he was/is gorgeous.

The bottle has been hit several times believe me......
Photos & his collar along with his favourite toys (apart from the two that went with him) are all out on proud display..
I've still got my last two dog's collars, it seems wrong to throw them away.

Agreed - I have the collars/leads/name tags from my old dogs. In a strange way it makes me feel closer to them.

Wonderful memories.
