As Bolly hates the cone of shame, we tried a different solution last night to unrestricted licking. We put one of my old shirts on him (Dixy gave me the idea)

Suits him.

Our new addition a 12 week old Giant Schnauzer - Roxy - making her feelings about the rugby at the weekend quite clear. I swear that if you stare at her closely you can literally see her growing.

We have a Roxy too. but I know what you mean about growing our little boy is now getting close to 6 months and there are days when he seems to grow whilst he is sleeping.

In hindsight i'm not sure we should have had two pups together, having looked into it more since getting them, the general advice is to wait 18 months. This certainly would be helpful for training as when i'm on my own it's night on impossible to train them together. The flip side though is they they grow up together, and so far they get on like a house on fire, they're like best mates.

I can well believe they'll do upwards of 20 miles a day, my pedometer tells me that I walk 5 miles per day with them now over our morning and afternoon walks, i'd imagine they're covering a bit more than that.

We're are trying to stimulate them mentally, we've got Kongs and other toys for them but i'm always open to other suggestions, so if you or anyone else has an idea or activity that can help let me know.
Five miles a day is good. I bet they do a fair bit more by the time you've counted all the zig zagging back and forth. Only one of our dogs walks straight behind us. The others seem to go away, come back, go away come back.... I bet it adds to the mileage easy!

As a stimulation game why not hide treats around the garden, let them watch you, and then make them hunt to find them. Then don't let them watch you and make them work harder. Then if you can do it in a bigger open space. I think some people do this around the house but I wouldn't recommend it with your two unless you've got a very big house!! Way I see it is your dogs are bred to hunt, so let them, doesn't have to be game they are hunting. Using their nose and their brain, they will love it.

Not really sure what else to suggest, mine are easy to entertain, being lurchers. They are bred to run and chase things, so I just take them places they can stretch their legs and go flat out chasing each other. They are fairly simple creatures so this satisfies them.

A busy day for Lottie.

4 mile walk, home, bath and sleep.

Then off to get her coat trimmed, home and sleep.

if Dogs have such a wonderful sense of smell why don't they ever move away when they release the most toxic
and foul smelling odour.

Everyone likes their own brand.

You never farted in the car and lifted a leg?
