Hi Pesty,

I noticed earlier from the pic and a comment that the wee fella is having hydro-therapy.

I'd be interested to hear your observations.

  • Do you think it's making a significant contribution to his rehab?
  • Does he enjoy it?
  • Is it easy or a bit of a faff?
Thanks. smile

He's looking very well. smile

Here's our family Seal, ahem, Olde English Buldogge!

He's just over a year old and somewhere around 35kg, he has a typical Bulldog personality but his specific breed means he is far far more athletic, he'll happily walk at reasonable pace for up to an hour before needing a pit-stop laugh and will play tug of war all day long.

He will also let you know he's done something wrong just by his facial expressions

Oh and he's also a bit of a strange one sometimes..
He looks great thumbup

The last pic is just how our Staffy sits, maybe it's a Bull breed thing?

I'll try my best.

Significant. I'm not sure but what it is doing is burning energy while we are still restricted to how much we can walk him.
It is stretching his leg and no doubt building muscle and it's no impact so I'm pretty sure it's having a benefit, not sure how significant but I'd say definitely a benefit

This is a very stubborn and independant dog. He loves swimming he loves everything apart from being held. It's taken him 7 vists (3 a week) now to start enjoying it. You could see he wanted to enjoy it but wasn't to spite himself if that makes sense.

I think he thought it was more vet, showering afterwoods and blow dry all new and all things he doesn't like. But last visit big big improvement his tale was going mad and he was more like himself barking for the man to throw the wubba so he could swim.

He's even standing ok for the shower and blow dry so it's done him the world of good. He fought and struggled at that but at first.
Thing is I know if we had just let him run around free he would have gone straight in demanding things to be thrown for him. He's like a teenager. But he is going in on his own now.

Very easy. Take him. Put a harness in him, He's a striong and fast swimmer so no need of flotation vest. I enjoy taking him and he now enjoys it so it's all good.

Going in that pool doing that would be my dream job.

He's had three modes. Play, eat and sleep. Sleep is optional and will be abandoned at any time day or night to play some more.

Typing all that took attention away from him for too long. He was stood like that barking at me to play some more. It's very tiring smile but love him for it.

When he's asleep, does he make a high pitched noise like a recharging camera flash? Reckon ours takes about 20 mins to fully recharge!

I thinks it wonderful to see how much Dogs mean to people and the size whether big or small seems irrelevant.
What about making it compulsory for all Politicians to be Dog owners (responsible dog owners)we might get some common sense back into the world.
