Can I introduce Malcolm.
Having driven back from Italy yesterday overnight and then finishing the journey today we stopped off and picked him up, all good timing from his birth date (he's 9 weeks old now)
We've also got a Burmese cat and it will be interesting to see how they get on (so far so good and a bit of bonding going on!)
No doubt I'll be a frequent poster on this thread now, gives me a good opportunity to get my camera out and use it!

Seems to be getting on really well with Dukie the Burmese and he is either sniffing his bum or licking his body with no whacking from the cat yet!

Just saw a brown and black dog. They look to be getting on great.
Ahh by the little car park?Hooli said:
Yup that was me. I didn't see any other dogs/people unless you drove past?
I was "walking" in the section behind yours after the bridge you were walking away., no condition to catch up shout or even speak at the mo. Shouldn't have even been out. He needed exercise so parked up and let him swim to tire him out. I can't walk him and nobody else was available. Just saw a brown and black dog. They look to be getting on great.
They are getting on great which is good. Current Lucky is asleep next to Mrs hooli, Ace is asleep in Lucky's chair and I'm upstairs fitting skirting board and central heating pipes.
We thought this might happen tbh & I would have missed him if he went.

Further update, Ace is now staying for good. He's so much happier here with the extra company & attention that we got asked could he stay for good. David, his owner, is still paying for his food/vets etc but knows he didn't have time to spend with him.
We thought this might happen tbh & I would have missed him if he went.
Fab news all round We thought this might happen tbh & I would have missed him if he went.

Thanks.
He is really getting on now - just over 15 when breed average is 12.
Starting to show it more and more, and I guess his time is coming fairly soon bless him. He misses his soul mate that we lost a few years back terribley though and hasnt really been as happy since those days.
Very sad to read this Mark. He is really getting on now - just over 15 when breed average is 12.

Lost my Bullmastiff when he was 14 but I will always treasure those last few years they were really special to me.
I will never understand people who abandon their old dogs. To me, that's when they are most precious.I have adopted a couple of older dogs (10 and 12) and would do it again without a second thought.
