This is Charlie. Two year old Border Collie / Lab cross, so only 50% nuts.

Thanks..we think so too.

Showing is not something we have any experience, knowledge or thought about of but her pedigree is pretty awesome on the father's side - every dog (m&f) for 5 generations is a champion in either US, Canada, Finland or Russia.

The honest reason we got her was:

a) We had discussed getting a companion to our other dog that hates / anxiety being on his own even for a few minutes ( very large rescue dog).

b) We bought a Dutch barge and it came up when I goggled (autofill) for advice on maneuvering when going astern,(prop walk)

So to cut a long story short..... I honestly don't know about showing - same applies to breeding / spaying.

But if there are prizes for character - she'd win hands down I think.
Oh she'd get my vote for sure! smile Our two are shown, I hadn't a clue about showing before we got them but I've found it good fun as I get to fuss a load of Keeshonden at shows.

Love that you have an actual Dutch barge and matching Dutch barge dog! biggrin

I'm in the bad books. I've let him have his confiscated favourite toy the last few days and he's destroyed the flowers. I'm worried he will injure himself so I'll put it away again but he loves it so much.

Wow pesty he's awesome. I love how he goes from completely static and emotionless to suddenly flicking on the switch once he's got the ball - superb!

Thanks guys

I think that might be herding instinct kicking in.
I worry about him him, it's quite stressful watching him do that these days, I can never really relax when he's playing now but especially like when he goes near the bike so much stuff to bang his head on. Plus That ball is like concrete. And he won't stop he'd still be out there now if I hadn't taken it off him smile he stresses me out. I thought I'd let him let off a bit of steam as I'm restricted from walking him at the moment.

If you we're nearby I'd offer to take him walkies, we're on the beach and have a massive park right by us. Many of the dog owners use those long handle icecream scoop ball chuckers.

Crikey - that wouldn't go well with my two terriers!! biggrin

A friend insisted it was ok to bring Teasel in to his house when she was about 2; his daughter had a house rabbit. I asked if it was a wise idea and he said it would be fine; it was, right up until the rabbit moved! Luckily I had stayed close enough to grab her before she got the rabbit.
