My 2 before they ran around getting dirty this morning

Gorgeous, but I must be old school, because I see your 'springer' as a sprocker or a wocker (but still very cute!)
Oops, the first comment above slipped by me. The 'springer' is a cocker spaniel. We got him at 10 months old as a bit of a rescue case. A women got him at 8 weeks old and decided at 10 months that she had no time for him. He had never been walked or or on a lead, or even out of her garden.

Oh I don't know. Think they look pretty damm lovely like that. Our Springer looks like that at every opportunity and she is never happier than when getting dirty.

They don't care do they. We are looking for another Cocker so we don't care either!

Met this lovely collie on our walk this morning. She was rescued 4weeks ago from the most awful conditions apparently. Her coat was all matted up and it had taken the owner many hours to get her looking like this.

Before we rescued our Springer to go along with our Collie Cross we were told that this might not be a good idea if we were very house proud.

Very glad we're not and I'd have another Spaniel without hesitation. Mud, mess, grass, footprints and all.

We stayed in a log cabin this weekend as a birthday suprise for me off the OH. The dogs mustve know it was my birthday as they were well behaved and even sat down in the pub without causing any trouble!

Post walk chill..

Happy birthday Dad... Dont they look thrilled!

Love wire haired fox terriers, had one as our first family dog when I was a kid which in retrospect wasn't the most sensible choice. Nutty dog. Got any more photos?

Digby just turned 6 months old and his adult coat is starting to come through. Going to be a struggle to keep the matts at bay :/

What a great photo smile, gorgeous boy.

I see the need to befriend a good grooming parlour very soon biggrin. These coats can become a mess really really quickly and aren't very 'combable' saw a 10 month old labradoodle with horrendously matted undercoat (for some reason owners didn't want to get her groomed, we basically made them in the end!)

Yep! The local groomer has been great, he's been having 'puppy sessions' to gradually introduce him to the kit and he's now block booked in every 5 weeks. I try comb him daily even if only for 5 mins and he's such a soft dog that he just lets me do it and looks miffed when I stop.

I love the "hairy" breeds & he's a stunner.

His coat will be softer than the wires, right?

I reckon worse to de-matt.

Ours hates the comb with a passion, but I can get at him during bath time (his, not mine).

He leaves a disgusting slick on the water, they really are waterproof.

As for pics, "loads" biggrin

Will post a link up later.
