Neville my rescue terrier, is now a PAT dog (therapy dog). Proud dog mum! 16 months ago he was a street dog in Cadiz, picked up in a terrible state, full of worms, malnourished and frightened. He has been with me for 14 months blossomed and is very special indeed.

Quite rightly proud smile PAT dogs do a great job. It was something I considered doing with my greyhound, Lily - she would have loved the attention. But I think then they had an upper age limit and she was getting close to it. We settled for doing street collections for the greyhound rescue she came from.

So max had his surgery today and I'm happy to report that they could remover the tumor on his head and his testicle . He's feeling very sorry for himself but it's just a sympathy act after he got a lift home from a very nice lady in an mx5 (was a bit of a squeeze) after no taxi would take us.

The other half was away at the weekend so country park with the wee man for a play. He's beginning to rather like the outdoors. First 2-3 months were a serious worry with a dog that didn't want to go for a walk.

My 5 month old Rottie having fun in the park! He loves to chase his ball! smile

lovely pic - does he retrieve?

mine doesn't. first time i threw him a ball he ran for it and then went and sat in the bushes guarding it - basically saying, if you don't want it I'll keep it, i'm a guard dog I'll look after this for you. if you want it fetching back should have got a lab - idiot human

He does now although he didn't last month! Previously he did similar to your dog and he just stopped other dogs but not people accessing the ball.

He goes off his lead in the park every day now and generally plays nice although he does concern me a little in that if a dog shows him aggression he now insists on asserting himself over the dog but in a very loud and forceful way.

Left to right:

Flower the Daschund, the pale terrier is Molly (Barry's mum), then Saffy (Barry's sister from the same litter, we picked her first but changed our mind), Barry next and Moonie (Barry's dad).
