Hes a standard Dachshund. Our other miniature dachshund is not too fussed on him at the minute and just plainly avoiding and ignoring him altogether. The heat today has him wrecked plus hes visiting the vets as we speak for some injections and a general check over. Hes doesnt look too happy in his carry bag on the vets floor

Our other dachshund and my parents yorkie investigating

Went to Perranporth beach Saturday, thought we'd try out the dogwash machine by the carpark, scout seemed to enjoy it well enough!

I love this thread. Everything in life is so much better with a dog smile
frown
Why the frown Turn7? Have you lost a pooch recently?
Indeed. Altho it was just after xmas, its still hard to not miss him.
That shall never fully go away, I still miss one I lost three years ago, but, many a rescue out there crying out for a home, the void can be plugged.
Turn7 will take another four legged friend in time I'm sure but we all have to work it out at our own pace and nobody can tell someone else when they should or shouldn't.It took me 6 months before I was ready and even after having Bryn it took me another 18 months before I truly bonded with him. I took the loss of our Jimmy very very hard and 3yrs on it still hurts like hell but I wouldn't be without Bryn and Mabel now. They will never fill Jimmy's shoes but they are creating their own smile.

Indeed smile

Having lost Lucky at the end of October and picking up Lottie just over 4 weeks later.... felt guilty as hell but couldn't just not love the little bundle of fur smile
She is a little harder to train but am getting there, Lucky was pre trained (being a rescue and 5-6 months old when we got her), Lottie is a little nervous and likes to bark a lot more, she is better than she was due to her now attending training lessons smile

Gorgeous! we have two minis and a Standard Wire Dach/Terrier X (we think - that's what the rescue told us but I think more Griffon) Anyway your pup is adorable - hope all goes smoothly with the pack smile

After our much loved German Shepherd passed away just over a month ago at the grand age of 13.5, our other dog was depressed and not at all herself, so we went looking for a friend for her. After having met a couple of dogs, Kira (our remaining dog) only really took to one of them, so a week ago today we brought home her new playmate on a trial basis to see how they got on at home. So far they've got on well, the occasional grumble, but it's going well so far.

Our German Shepherd, Jenna

Kira

And our new dog, Kiras new playmate, Raffaelo, or Raffi to his friends

Kira and Raffi

Raffi seems to have settled in ok!
