Cracking shot and note to anyone wondering why they don't get such great pictures - get down to eye level with your dog/other critter. (Also fantastic low light and autumnal colours help too! But this is what most snappers get wrong)

His first haircut (since I've had him).
Looks a totally different dog, and can now see his shifty eyes...

My mate is not a fan of all the scumbags letting off all these fireworks. Keeps running off and hiding in corners. frown

Doesn't bother the little one though.

He looks great thumbup

With my phone (Android) I found that my portrait pics always loaded this way, however landscapes load correctly. Can offer no technical reason just observation!!

Well i avoided this thread since 1 of my dogs passed away in June. We only have 1 now, Ellie, our 12 year old Retriever. We have been talking for awhile about getting another but Im bit a of wet blanket when it comes to dogs and the heartbreak they cause when they depart this world was putting me off. We had a St Bernard (male) for 6 years who passed suddenly Jan 13 so still had that feeling of unfinished business (we still to this day talk about the 'trouble' he used to get himself into)
So enough rambling, let me introduce Elsa, picking up early December

That is the normal sleeping position of a St Bernard !

This makes me think yet again about the idea of going along with Mrs B's wish for a second dog to keep our cockerpoo company. Things that put me off include whether they'd get on together, the extra food and vet costs, and having two lots of eyes begging me for grub instead of one! Would be interesting to know what folk on here think about single or multiple dog ownership.

Great photo. But why doesn't Gambino get a bed like the other two?

I posted these pics of Jackson when I started the original dog photos thread over seven years ago, and the top one is still my favourite. Unfortunately we had to have him PTS yesterday as it looks as though he suffered a couple of strokes and couldn't stand up and didn't really know what was going on. We're devastated and miss him very much.

Personally I always think 2 (or 3 in my case) is better than one. Dogs are pack animals, they like having other dogs around.
The cost obviously increases but its well worth it.

He does, we have another 2 beds in the house, he just chose to settle in-between the other 2 smile

Hes a bit of an odd ball. Hes a rescue we have had for about 3-4 months.
