Barney was very poorly last week, vomiting everything he ate, diarrhoea, we took him to the vet who gave him an anti sickness injection. By the next morning he was still unable to keep anything down, and was looking very weak. We took him back, and had to leave him overnight, while he had X rays and later a scan to check for any blockage in his stomach. Thankfully they found nothing, and he was diagnosed with Gastroenteritis, put on a drip as he was dehydrated and given a course of tablets and a special 'bland' diet until he recovers. We collected him on Friday 13th.. Barneys 3 month birthday. By Saturday he was so much better, you wouldn't have known he'd been so ill just a few days before. Even after all that, he weighs 31lb already..

Back home..

From todays walk...

I know it'll happen, I've already chosen a name; Geoff.
Geoff and Barry, great names, I would love to see you calling for them on their walks, just make sure it is not Hampstead Heath hehe
i have got some very odd looks when im shouting "Duncan" at the top of my voice in the woods.

The wife absolutely hates standing at the back door shouting "Barry, Barry, in" I think it is bloody hilarious when out, trying to call him back, especially when there are loads of people about:

me: "Barry come",
random person: "oh Harry, he is lovely, a really lively thing with lots of character"
me: "it's Barry"
random person: "oh Barry..........my god that is hilarious, (looking over at someone they are with), that dog's called Barry, isn't that amazing?"

I wanted to call our latest addition Womble, but I wasn't allowed to (sulk). Had to settle for Max.

Barney seems back to 'normal' now, though he's not used to having less than he wants to eat. He sits by his empty bowl and looks very sad..

He is growing up so fast, first pic is on the day we got him at 8 weeks old, second is this week at 13 weeks old
