One of the best things about dogs is seeing them 'dog' tired!

That's a bugger, but you had a nice walk though.
4 1/2 hours of it. Including traversing a bog and an overgrown rail line.

Dipstick chased a deer, a hare, her Frisbee and 3 spaniels - then slept for the evening. She returned to being irritating by the morning.

Lol, sounds like Barry, it is amazing how much some dogs can take and then the next day it's as if it never happened.

Whilst she was out we got the crate ready and all the new bits and bobs that were hiding in the wife's car boot, the wife went to get Daphne and I followed with Daisy and Barry so they could all meet each other on neutral ground up at the local park.

I went to pick my daughter up from town after her meal out with friends and let her walk into the house as normal, she went into the lounge to be confronted with a little puppy on the lounge floor, she then burst into tears.

Daisy is an odd thing, if there is a dog up the park who takes an interest she will go for it, however Daphne has been all over her and Daisy hasn't been bothered, she takes it and just gives the look of "oh not again", she was the same when Barry was a pup, she can be so gentle, maybe she can sense that a puppy isn't a threat.

Barry however is a bit of an old man, he doesn't like change, he likes it all "just so", he has yet to warm to her and if she goes near him he gives a little warning growl, which she takes note of and leaves him alone.

My old dog was like that. Any dog that didn't totally ignore her (and some that did) where prime targets to have a fight with. Bring a dog into the house or go for a walk with someone else and their dog and she'd just accept them.

She's 15 now and can't really be bothered.

Yep Dasiy is like that too; fine on a walk with friends and their dogs, it's as if she knows that they aren't a threat, it is dogs that bound up to her that are the issue, I think because she is deaf she is always on the lookout and on edge.

I think that's the first time we've seen Barry looking grumpy! Daphne is super cute and I'm looking forward to seeing her grow up.
