Archie & Keira have friend to stay for a few days......meet Lola a Korean Jindo, she seems to have a very strong hunting urge so no off lead for her unfortunately but she is a sweet natured girl.

How did her owner get Lol a, was it through Soi Dogs or Nami Kim? They do great work out there for the Jindo meat dogs

To be honest she did tell me but I forgot....was a registered breeder / kennels IIRC.........the Korean government designated the Jindo dog as a National Treasure (Number 53) so surprised anyone would try to eat them.

Sadly yes Nami Kim has dedicated her life to rescuing meat dogs and most of them are Jindo dogs frown.

Molly three days after being attacked by some kind of pitbull, shortly after we walked into a pub. Grabbed her, was shaking her around violently and threw her up in the air a couple of times. Fortunately I managed to wade in and save her.
A few grazes but the day was saved by the other dog grabbing her by the harness.

Sad hearing stories like this. Where was the owner?
The owner was with the dog. They didn't do a great deal, but were very apologetic afterwards. First time he'd done anything like it apparently.

Bit of a silly (and sad) one from our weekend. Boomer's tribute to the sad passing of Private Hudson. Thankfully Boomer made it to the Pulse Rifle in time smile

Busby is 6 today.

He was my wife's before we got together, but he's more my dog now.

Our other dog Vyk, but he's currently with my parents as he needs R&R after an eye op (ulcer removed).

Lost a battle with a car... Fortunately a glancing blow... Idiot step-son had got the extending dog lead too long, got a knot in it - and rather then wrapping the excess around his wrist, lost some control on a narrow path...

I hope he has a quick recovery, liking the bandage colour!

Sadly extending leads can be very dangerous and loss of control can happen quickly. Seen a few incidents involving them including an elderly dog getting run over by a van pulling away. The owner had started chatting and allowed the dog to potter unfortunately he walked in front of a parked van. The driver couldn't see the dog as he pulled away.

Yes, I have to admit extending leads near roads is one of my pet hates. They have their place (I've used them myself) but I wouldn't use one now.

It's not a lead I ever use... I'm pretty bloody annoyed, but also relieved.

Poor lad is pretty sore tonight, despite the pain killer. I picked him up from the roadside and went straight to the vets who fitted him straight in.

He's had his comfy day bed brought into the lounge, and appears to be benefiting from plenty of Domino's crust... (did I mention he is called Domino?)
