This morning I gave him his breakfast and no vomiting. He doesnt seem sick. OK I have only had him a week but he seems the same today as he has done every other day so far.

He does seem attracted to things that are the opposite colour to him!

I was thinking, should I put less food down for him? Maybe half a sachet then or should I just see if he sorts himself out?

I got the applaws wet food not the biscuits. I didn't know they did biscuits

My family have always avoided dry food for the cats as they say it can cause urinary issues so I went for wet food. I do give him a handful of biscuits a day for when I am out but his main meals are wet food

He'd have to go some to find a rabbit! There's a nature reserve at the back of my house but I don't think there's any rabbits. He can probably get his fill of rats though.

He has pretty much moved downstairs now. He has been sleeping in the wardrobe again though. Going to have to remember to shut it, or buy white suits. Since I'm not John Barnes I think I'll have to remember to shut the door

Stupid question but how high should the cat flap be?

Well if you haven't arranged his breakfast then he must tell you...
Cats are meant to be graceful I always thought. So why is it when he is running around upstairs it sounds like he is going to come through the ceiling!

And why does he run around like he's batst mental.

Couple more questions and accept this might be a "because cat" thing again but he does 2 odd things I've not noticed before

He tried to bury his food dish sometimes, on a wooden floor. It's like he does in his litter but with his food bowl

Why does he drop any toys I give him in his water dish when I'm not around. Is this some sort of punishment because he is pissed off at me

This morning he was sick again so as he was going for his follow up jab I asked the vet about it to check that he was ok. They checked his gums and some other things and there is nothing that would indicate a health issue. He has lost a bit of weight since I got him but nothing they were concerned about. He was 50g lighter over a month since his last vaccination.

They did give me some other food to try for a couple of days which is for sensitive stomachs as they said it may be that there is some continuing irritation or something.

He didnt want to go in his box to go to the vets. He was hissing and all sorts. Then he was fine at the vets!

I'm not an expert but it seems like it's regurgitating rather than vomiting going by what you said. Today for example I put his food down went into the kitchen and started cleaning the littler tray. I had literally just scooped into the bag when he walked in and threw it up next to the litter box. He looked at the box but decided he preferred the floor. It was that quick. Probably less than 5 minutes between bowl hitting floor and food hitting the floor on the way back up.

The other two times it was similarly quick. There wasn't any hair this morning as I looked through it. That was pleasant first thing in the morning but I wanted to be sure. It was just food. I can't be sure the other times as I didn't look as carefully.

I've put a golf ball in his food bowl tonight. He has to move it to eat. Seems to have worked for now although he's now eyeing up my ranchu tank!

Great idea, often suggest similar esp for dogs smile
Was my bosses suggestion, he does it with his Labrador although apparently the dog has worked out to lift the ball out then Hoover it up

He was sick again this morning. Again within 30 seconds of eating. It's got to be because he bolts his food I think. That was with 2 golf balls in it to slow it down. I'm going to try putting it down in several bowls next. I have to admit it's quite worrying but it genuinely doesn't seem to bother the cat

Would dry food help maybe?

He is 6.05kg and about 18 inches long. The vet says he seems perfectly healthy. They checked his stomach again and all his vitals and they are fine. They are going to do some blood tests to make sure though.

I think I will try putting down a little food each time I feed him then

He's been fine for the last week and a bit then tonight he threw up again. Was very strange as was almost a straight line. It was the first time he had tuna and anchovy applaws so I'm going to put it down to that.

Yeah he is a lot of fun. He really dislikes spiders though

I had a house spider that was living under my sofa. I didn't mind him and every few days he would scuttle across the floor. Till Loki saw him that is. He squished him into the floor then ate him. He has a very smug look at times

I got a laser pen, he hates the dot. Goes mad chasing it.

I think he might be a bit simple though as he spends quite a lot of time staring at things that aren't there then pouncing on them.

Hah. He doesn't have fleas!

I'm going to start letting him outside for a while before dinner now. He got out yesterday and spent about 15 minutes teasing next doors dog through their patio. Lazy bugger didn't want to climb back over so my neighbour had to push him back!

Cat flap is being fitted next week so I figured would build up the time till it arrives
