One of ours has gone down with this. Off his food for 36hrs and far more lethargic than usual.
He's been on(and off and on) a drip for the last 24hrs and will spend Easter at the vets.
Prognosis seems ok (fingers crossed)but he looks very sad and unhappy and really doesn't want to eat.
I don't think he's going to get the choice soon if he doesn't on his own. He's 13 so not ancient but no spring chicken any more. Anyone been here?
Lets hope he pulls through.

No experience or knowledge, but I hope his 'holiday' over Easter is a good one & he rallies smile

Well he's home now and happy to be here. More or less his old self but very light and quite tired.
Seems to have pancreatitis to add to his woes. Back for a check up again tomorrow.
Seems like its one of those things that can flare up again so we'll keep an eye on him.

Only just seen this, glad he's back home. I don't know much about this condition but I know it can set off or be a part of the inflammatory processes including pamcreatitis so it is not a surprise he has this aswell poor thing.

Fingers crossed he continues to improve, what diet have you been advised to give him?

He has some Hills pouches (ID I think which is the renal one but very palatable apparently) from the vet which he was eating at the vet but no at home he is keen to eat anything but! Certainly he has an appetite now.
I think we will be getting some milk thistle to sprinkle on too.
