Cat doesn't love us any more...

Well being as my cat goes out but still uses the litter tray that we provide in our house to urinate and defaecation in then yes I would be pissed off if someone else started to take her in. (nobody would want her though as she has a chronic condition that causes her to sneeze gloop everywhere!!)

As it is our neighbours cat and our cat get on very well with each other and often pop round to each others house for a natter . Alfie (neighbours cat) doesn't get fed by us and same vice versa.

I once rented a room from a guy with a cat. 16 ish years old she was and had never been a lap cat. Within a month it would jump into my lap within moments of sitting down- owner was astonished.

Difference was that the owner was the 'feeder' and would stroke it, but didn't interact with the cat. If he had gotten down onto the floor regularly and actually played with it using toys etc and been more fun then he would have had a much better relationship.
