MrsSE needs to get the SBT innoculated, she doesn't have any history with her (unfortunately).
She's about 8 years old, is it a standard vaccination or will she need some sort of first vaccine? What's the rough cost she's looking at?

I'm just trying to get a heads up before she rings the vets tomorrow, so I can appear clever and knowledgeable for a change.

If there is no history of recent vaccination, then your dog should get a primary course of two vaccinations against the main diseases of parvo, distemper, hepatitis and lepto. There may be a couple of other less common components depending on the particular vaccine your vet uses. Usually the vaccinations are a couple of weeks apart, and we charge about £25 for each vaccination. This should include a full health check giving you a useful guide to what you should monitor for your dog's health over the next year. Don't forget to ask about worming and fleas smile
