Hi folks, as above really, we have a large male (neutered) german shepherd who could do with a little company, we live in the sticks with enough land to cope with two. Specifically I'm after a female GSD as two males won't work. I've also emailed the relevant re homing centres but what with the power of ph she may come with viper stripes biggrin could I as my fellow animal lovers to keep eyes peeled for a female long haired gsd in need of a good home
Thanks in advance

Why do you say two males won't work? I have two males, they are fine... I know many people with two males. Of course, if you put an in season female in the mix then the situation may change...

Did your two arrive together at the same time?? I was advised by the gsd re homers that two males if I add another male into the house now will lock horns to be top dog..

We got our gsd from german shepard rescue southwest, I know they have a fair few dogs currently looking for homes, don't necessarily need to be in the southwest.

Excellent, hope it works out!

Our GSD has just had his checkup and jabs at 15 months old and was amazingly well behaved for the vet. He was calm, obedient, didn't try to mouth the vet's hands like he did six months ago, didn't flinch at the jab and charmed some extra treats out of her. Very proud of him - he's growing up!

All the best for it, we got our scout through them and also briefly fostered another for them. They have some nice dogs go through there. Hopefully they have a good dog for you to!

No we had our boy for five years before we got a puppy. We introduced them. WE are in charge, so they do not fight amongst themselves.

These things can also depend upon the personality of each dog. If both are dominant then you may have a problem.

You are confusing them with Lesbian Australian criminal women.
