Our eighteen week old Cockapoo.

We picked her up five weeks ago and so far she's been an absolute joy to own. Highly recommended as a breed if you're considering one. More than happy to provide details of the breeder we used, experience to date etc.

My sister has one of those-doesn't half get some klinkers on its arse rofl

Bit of a little bugger at times but I'm sure that's all down to its training, they seem a great family dog-especially for anyone with allergies.

Best of luck with her thumbup

Coat is a bit deceptive. When she's wet she shrinks down by about two thirds!

Yep. The one downside of a long coat. No shedding at all though so relatively clean floors. Other than the massive wet footprints that is...

bouncebounce After great thought and after the loss of our dear Milly a few weeks back we have decided go go for a Cockapoo. Mainly because they have that great Spaniel trait.

Just the waiting game to save up a few pennies for her.

Any ideas how tall they get?

How big they end up very much depends on the parents - toy, miniature or standard poodle, English show, English working, or American cocker means they can vary from about 12" to 22" in height.

Your 'typical' cockapoo is a miniature poodle crossed with either an English or American cocker spaniel. American cockapoos tend to be a little bit smaller than English ones which are normally about 14" - 16" in height. Think typical cocker spaniel but with more hair!

Let me know if you want details of the breeder we used - can't recommend them highly enough.

My son has acquired one of those. It's raving bloody mad. Seems they're either raving bloody mad or daft as brush.

I forgot about standard / mini poodles. Hmmmm thats something to thing about.

I would look forward to a mad dog. Our current Cavalier is so layed back its boarding on comatose.

Character wise they have a great reputation - good with kids, friendly, loyal, intelligent, easy to train, great at agility, but not as high maintenance and subject to separation anxiety as a spaniel. Like any breed though, some will be a bit more 'mental' than others.
