Never used one and never would - an e-Collar by another name.

Banned in Wales.

One of my friends has a car workshop and has one installed at the boundary to stop his dog running in to the road. The dog is always pretty good, one of those dogs that rarely runs off or misbehaves, but every now and again it decides to run out and risks getting hit.

The dog doesn't get too close to the perimeter and when he does the beep reminds him to back off.

It's about using the right tools for the job and in this case it seems like the right tool.

I know somebody that has one on a Irish setter, the collar has been on about 6 months and now the dog has started having fits, vet recommends taking it off as he thinks its due to the collar.
