I have just come across one of the strangest crossbreeds looking for a home. A German Shepherd, crossed with a... Pug!!!!

What an interesting sight that must have been. Up there with the Westie and Rottweiler 'wotties' which were in the news last year.

Has anyone got any other, or come across any similarly odd cross-breeds?

I've always wondered what would happen if, say, a great dane inseminated a small terrier. Would the terrier explode halfway through the gestation or just expand like a beach ball?

I would have said he was more French Bulldog x GSD than pug. I guess they have more info than me though!!

That sanctuary is my neck of the woods!

I think the actually proccess of insemination wouldn't be physically possible with big dad, small mum - it would have to be the other way around.

Yes, they are smile I've adopted two dogs from them in the past, and used to do volunteer dog-walking there years ago.

One of those dogs either had a really good time, or a very disappointing time!
