Hi all.

We have had our 3 year old rottie b*tch insured with more than for the last 2 years.
Today our renewal has arrived at it has gone up over 50% to £1600 for the year.

She ruptured her cruicate ligament last year so had a big claim but still.

Annoyingly they seem to have us over a barrel as I believe if we move insurance they then wouldn't cover her if her other ligament goes?

Has anyone had similar happen and did you stay with your insurance or move?

I was with the same insurer and I moved when they put it up. I now cannot move from my current insurer due to my Dog's Epilepsy. The insurance started at £16 and is now £82 a month.

You might want to check with another insurer if the other ligament will be covered or not, after all I can see they will not cover the same one, but it is attached to a different limb.

Usually the other cruciate will not be covered as there is a far higher chance of it going wrong.

But it can't hurt to check with other insurers..
