Lou is starting to go grey. She’s 10 now and is showing signs of arthritis in her toes.
Still goes apest when it’s time to go out but it takes a bit longer to get up the following morning.
The weather has been better so I can leave the doors open when I go to work so she spends her days enjoying the sun at the moment.
Loving seeing all the pics on the thread.
As I mentioned ages back, we had a red female EBT for 14 years from when I was 13 until I was 27 when she sadly succumbed to kidney disease, she was the unofficial 6th member of our family.
I'm 50 now, my parents are elderly, one or both is about to go into care, so I am increasingly spending lots of time at my childhood home. Lots of photos and memories of her there, it makes me wish we had one.
I have raised the prospect of us getting an EBT with my wife but she is not keen on us having any dog permanently mainly because of the restrictions that dog ownership puts on your life, particularly regarding holidays and travel away.
Personally I think we can work around those. We dog sit for a fellow PHer's Jack Russell whenever he goes on holiday, and I'm sure we could find someone to do similar for us if we had an EBT, once fully house trained etc.
On that note, I am available, if any PHers need an EBT sitter for holidays. (Caversham, Berkshire, family home, lots of parks nearby, I work from home 4 out of 5 days).

yes, the zoomies & spinning. Zoomies are amazing, real parcour bouncing off walls, sofa, doors, people etc. The funniest thing is their expression when they finish like they have no idea what has just happened.
Lottie doesn't spin much generally but when she play fights with Arlo she is like a spinning top - sends him crazy. He has learnt to spin too but can only keep it up for a few turns.
Lottie's weirdest behaviour though is the trancing. You'll sometimes find her in the garden standing under a bush like she is frozen with a strange expression on her face & a tail that is vibrating. She'll stand there for 5 to 10 minutes & then suddenly "wake up", most bizarre. I must try to video it once the weather warms up & she goes out more.

That is one happy dog.
Does he help himself to the wood? Lottie would have all those pieces in splinters in no time.
Yep, he wood, but our village butcher has a crush on him and has supplied copious amounts of big bones since we got him. The dog loves that fire, I actually put it on for him!Does he help himself to the wood? Lottie would have all those pieces in splinters in no time.
When I got him, lots of people I know were nervous about it, including my parents, he was coming into a house with two young boys and they had never had dogs, neither had I really. My folks came to mine recently and they have a very vocal, snappy and tiny Pomeranian girl and asked whether it would be ok to bring her, yep I said. That dog snapped away at him in the garden, he just looked at it thinking wtf, I want to play. It then went into HIS bed and took half of his bones one by one and put them into the garden where he never has them.
Bruno was more interested in my parents, who adored him.
When they left, he picked his bones back up and brought them back where he wanted them.
Amazing animals.
