Brilliant program. I've always had a soft spot for Noel and his team after they treated my dog a few years ago.

Was a mix of happy and sad tonight - looks like poor old Noel is going through the mill next week!

I find it difficult to watch I just like happy ending as far as Dogs are concerned.
He does have a fantastic attitude to animals problems and how to deal with them but the way Dogs recover from major life threatening surgery is just awesome.

Perhaps the kind thing to do would be to ban all breeds of dogs that have been excessively deformed for the sake of their owners' vanity and consequently suffer discomfort and health problems throughout their lives.
You'll need to start with the Kennel Club, thats where all of these problems start.Ridiculous criteria s being set by the "professional" breeders being the cause of Bull Dogs breathing problems is just the tip of a very large iceberg.

Saw that the Channel * Local station in our area is showing "The Bionic Vet". It's a Simon Cowell produced BBC show from 2010 that follows Noel at Fitzpatricks Referrals. Only Six shows and they are only 30 mins. Seems Noel also has an acting career. He once appeared in Casualty and Wildlife SOS in the same weekend causing viewers to ring up complaining that the BBC was employing an Actor to play a Vet!!!

The word on the veterinary grapevine is that the total bill for the surgery on the two toy Poodles, including several weeks of hospitalisation and intensive rehab for one dog was in the region of £100k....

The x-Ray of that poor young bulldog's spine was quite extraordinary. I have never seen one as bad as that before.

Sadly, serious inbred health issues like these are endemic in Bulldogs.

I was welling up too. Poor lad.

I can't remember if it was last week or the week before, but as a moral response to 'Chelsea-gate' there was a young couple who had a moggy with no insurance/an ailment not covered - the money came out of their wedding fund in a heart beat. I hope little miss precious gallantly sacrificing her flowers for the non-specified wedding saw that....
