Here's the 'settled' one Chutney.. You can see how stressed she is by the sounds of the snores coming from her.
Perhaps you are becoming a cat person after all?! And they will spend all day sleeping and not doing what you got them for, but by then you won't mind
PS You need a new car.

Had a stroke (no titters at the back) from Grebo this pm, and a few purrs. Hope there yet.
I don't mind them sleeping in the day - no rats about then anyway.

That's my P&J. (OK perhaps not - we repair electronic handbrakes from Renault, and this is our 'test' car.
There is no excuse for that kind of behaviour. Anybody encouraging the continued use of electronic handbrakes in any way, should be shunned by society.Carry on with the cats though, they are excellent.

Has Puss come back yet?
No obvious sign of her,and the food I've left out for her is still there, so I am not confident of a good outcome here. I wish that I had shut the door a bit better, though I was wondering how the cat was going to make the transition from a frightened wreck of a thing to something more positive, and that has certainly been resolved.I'll continue to put food out for the next few days, but if it's not eaten, I don't think it's worht continuing down that road. Ho Hum.I moved Chutney slightly forcibly outside today. So she had an hour or 2 looking round before going back to the workshop for a nice long kip. Honestly !!
Gave chance for Grebo to have a good look around the workshop, and out of the cage. Worked OK. Grebo has now taken refuge in the Renault, and gone to sleep.
They don't DO a lot these cat things

They are like a mobile phone. 20 hours charge = 4 hours activity.I moved Chutney slightly forcibly outside today. So she had an hour or 2 looking round before going back to the workshop for a nice long kip. Honestly !!

They are designed to be active at dusk and dawn. So don't expect much during the day...or night.
As this sorry tale further unfolds, I almost can't believe that any responsible rescue centre would award three completely unrelated cats into an environment that's new for all of them.
Highly irresponsible. 'Density' of cat predator coverage would best be achieved by a bonded pair.
The rescue needs naming and shaming. PH 'rules' or no.
Unless of course the OP hasn't been entirely honest with the rescue centre about his circumstances, in which case he needs a good kicking too.

OK,a bit of an update.
Sorry tale or not, Puss, the original cat has turned up this evening!! Appeared at the front door where the light spills out of the house.
So I immediately found some cat food, called her and put it out - a few minutes later she is busy eating, though you cannot approach her at all.
I suspect this is a major step forward, and she'll now be OK, just wild.
The other 2 cats are doing fine. Grebo has been out and about in the workshop, and is acclimatising fairly quickly it seems to me.
Chutney does not seem keen to leave the warm garage, but will be encouraged to do so over the next week.
Really pleased to see Puss - looks like all 3 cats will be OK.
Sorry to bring this bit of good news to all the naysayers.

Some neighbours in the village had a bunch of farm cats that they kept outside. They started off as extremely timid, then inch by inch they got closer to my house until they could tolerate my presence a few feet away. Eventually, after a few months it progressed to them allowing me to pet them. Now its got to the stage where the little bds sleep on top of me in bed and stare at me while I have a shower.Sorry tale or not, Puss, the original cat has turned up this evening!!
