Update on previous threadTerrible situation now
Meer 14 month old now in season older female 9 year old follows her around everywhere and attacks Meer
Meer won't give in now and gives as good as she gets which is an all ought fight I have to grab the collars split them and put one in the sitting room the other in the lounge, whenever Amber the 9 year old slips through she is straight onto Meer so we have to keep them apart all the time now is this going to continue after Meer has finished her season or will it subdue is the answer to get them both spayed our vets only solution was to let one go but I can't bring myself to do that
Is there an answer to stop this
Separately they are so loving calm beautiful dogs but together they just want to kill each other

we did have a behaviorist out and he sorted it in 3 minutes flat and we have tried it ever since but to no avail
Elephantstone we want pups from Meer 1st of all it makes sure everything is working, 2nd we have the space which enables us to do so, and 3rdly we love seeing and interacting with them until they go to there forever homes, in fact we have the pups/dogs back from there owners when they go on holiday (FOC) and its lovely to see them again and its also a great way to see how they are progressing in fact we have Holly here now who was one of Ambers pups 4 year old who plays with her mum and Ayianna well and with Ayianna and Meer but for obvious reasons not all togeather.
so will see how Amber and Meer are after Meers season if not then spay Amber and if that doesnt work spay Meer as well.

Im not ignoring the advice (READ MY fking REPLY) I have said I will follow the advice when Meer has finished her season, why is everybody including vets so insistent on having females spayed and males done,
KFC The reason for having a litter of pups is so that the female is less likely to get the disease problems with their internal bits later in life, that's what I have always been led to believe and up until now we have never had a problem with our un spayed girls Jazz was 15 when we lost her a couple of years ago with no health issues throughout her long life, and Amber has never had any issues at 9
If spaying is the answer then that is what will be done !
Again the wife and I love having the pups they are born in the house and reared in the house and when they are old enough play outside in the field its so much fun watching them grow up knowing they have had the best start in life they can get, you should try it sometime KFC, alikat (it is hard work but worth every minute) just to make it clear alikat there are no nasty traits.

Thats one of the most ridiculous reasons for having puppies that I've ever heard.
Highflyer this is so so wrong, there is far more danger to her having pups than spaying her.
Small dogs can be safely spayed before first season or 3 months after first season.
There is no benefit whatsoever in her being bred from, not for her anyway and she would need one or two seasons first before you did anyway. All of which will likely worsen the situation you are currently in.
Please don't ever think that it is in the batches interest to have puppies.it isn't.

hes have been spayed as they tend to do with rescue Dogs but one is still very aggressive and needs to be controled still after 6 years with us.When we went to socialise our other Dogs at the RSPCA my bullmastiff was still intact and they suggested we have him "done" they didnt even know him and at the end of his lovely 14 years he still had them.
We now have a 11 month GSD and he will again keep his bits.
I spend a lot of time with my dogs as I am at home and I stand no messing or any signs of aggression and they seem to know and understand this.
