Hoping you guys can help, our 11 year old cat has had ongoing stomach upset for ages, on sensitive diet etc, finally diagnosed with t-foetus infection, first problem how the hell do we get 2 tablets every 24 hours into her, vet always has to do the worm tablets for us!! Also she will use the litter tray for a wee but as she has now taken to using the matt by the front door for her poops (we have been cleaning with proper stain/odour remover) we have been putting down puppy pads which she goes on, not an ideal solution though, any tips or advice on any of this thread much appreciatedrolleyescry

I'd put another litter tray by the door, and hide the pills in a squashy treat or piece of steak.

Sorry but I have never heard of t-foetus infection?!

Ok done a bit of looking up!!

Found a really detailed write up on it advises high fibre diet to help diarrhoea but does suggest antibiotics aren't the best idea, what are the tablets? Cream cheese may work but obviously don't want to upset stomach anymore!

I can't get my phone to link it!! But it is on the International Cat Care site

Personally due to experience I can tablet most temperament of cats without the need of pill givers and the like but I appreciate that is also my job!

I find less is best. For example I have to tablet my Maine Coon every day. She is very very easy to tablet, she always knows she will be fed after which helps. So she hears the bottle and jumps on kitchen work surface. I put tablet between thumb and index finger. With other hand I hold head back slightly (using thumb and long finger just behind the eyes and in front of the ears). I use my long finger on the hand with the tablet to open the lower jaw, once open I pop tablet to back of the mouth (I don't drop the tablet in the mouth, too much chance of error)

This method rarely fails me and is over in seconds.

If doing on lap have cats but tucked into stomach then follow above.
