Caspar, our black moggie had 4 teeth out a fortnight ago (509.00) and the vet sent a sample off for a biopsy as he was a bit worried on what he found, results are that Caspar has an aggressive form of cancer in his lower jaw ??
Tuesday we are taking him to a specialist vet in Essex for a CT scan to see whether it is operable or not, it will depend on the spread of it.
The wife and I are dreading it as he is the first cat we have had who loves us both the same, he is being fed fillet steak at the moment to keep some weight on him.

Paws crossed
Our ginger beast of a boy
He has recently come home after going missing when we moved house 2 years ago, found when the kids spotted someone searching for his owners on a FB group.
He's the biggest (7kg) softest cat ever and has to be sat no more than 6 inches from you at all times.
He was sorely missed and we are all over the moon that he has been found and has come home

Wanted to share some pics of my parents' new management, a 6yo rescue female Bengal now named Cleo.
Picked up from Battersea at Old Windsor last Thursday afternoon at around 3pm. By 6pm she'd scoped out the house, identified the best/sunniest snoozing places, sniffed out where the Dreamies are kept, curled up and went to sleep on the sofa.
I visited on Sunday and she's clearly in charge already.
They have a little work to do on "worktop manners" and they were told that while she was happy to go outside, she'd always need an indoor litter tray as she was badly stressed out by other neighbourhood cats in her last home. They have acres of woodland/field next door, no other cats in the area so they're hoping she'll learn how to "go" outside again soon. Keeping her in is a challenge at the moment. She knows what the flap is for and clearly wants to use it.

We're taking Boris - 15 1/2 - to a specialist vet tomorrow, down near Redhill. He has had runny eyes for a while, and now a very, snotty and bloody, runny nose and really bad sneezing, but only in one nostril. He's been checked out at our local vat and examined under anaesthetic but nothing obvious showed up.
Two courses of antibiotics - dog ones.. - have cleared it up temporarily but it keeps coming back. He's a bit miserable now but still sociable and still eating like the pig he always has been.
His weight has dropped from 7.5kg to about 6.5kg over the last year and he has a bit of a bump on his forehead and nose which could be quite significant.....
We've had him since eight weeks and he has been the most peopley cat ever,he thinks he is a person, and if things don't go too well it will be a great loss, probably the hardest of all the cats we've ever had.
So, fingers crossed please

Just to flag that our 2 Bengals absolutely love the Wool / Buffalo cat toys from Purrs in our hearts: http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/shop/best-cat-to... There's a few varieties, I'd probably not get the mouse ones again as the girls just shredded the hairs out straight away but the various "real-life" birds are more robust and give them a real sense of the hunt.
They go after it like nothing else. Well worth considering if you're looking for something fresh to entertain them. Fit nicely onto DaBird wands or similar
Note - the warning about leaving them with the cats is to be heeded. They'd definitely shred / chew / possibly swallow the wool if left unattended

I'm a sucker for buying new cat toys. Mine have a basket full in the living room and a leather trunk in the dining room! Favourites are the shabby chic type Mice with bells and bobble knots in their tails (Pets at Home iirc) they carry these round with them after hunting. I also give them the long curly feathers from my pantomime geese to play with. They love them.
