I am having to say good buy to this fella tomorrow.

He is comfortable in his basket at least and had a good night but it is for the best.

Here he is looking well

It's going to be a hard day frown

Thanks guys,

We managed to have a nice morning he was a bit like his old self. He managed to say good bye to my wife which was heartbreaking to watch as he has been her shadow for his whole life.

He ate his favorite food, had a good brush from me and even played for a little bit (even though his balance was to pot and he could hardly see). He had a fit just before the vet turned up but came round, had a chat and sat in the sun which he loved to do.

I am glad I was there to comfort him whilst he was still a bit of the cat we knew and not an empty shell. I am shocked at how different the house feels without him. His brother knows something is wrong which is hard to see.

I just hope the little guy knew what good company he was.

So sorry for your loss :'(

I came home to these three last night. I don't know what I'd be like without them now. Never thought I'd be shadowed as much as I am by them.

And left this morning with Frida wanting her harness on and sat in the window crying to come with me.

I had not seen Batman/Guardcat for a few weeks. So I was worried with it being cold out.

Managed to catch nextdoor this morning, and her mum has taken him in.

So this guy, is now living with a retired couple where he's a lap cat, or in front of a real fire, and getting real fish as a treat. Sad that he's not around anymore but happy he's safe and warm smile

my stepdaughter came down this morning to find the cat pawing at her shoe. A little concerned by this behaviour she gave said shoe a shake and satisfied there was nothing untoward there put it on... she felt the inner-sole pushing her toes before thinking "that doesn't quite feel right, I'd better adjust it" shoved her hand in an touched said moggie's missing mouse. Cue much screaming hehehehe

As above. Years ago I had the privilege of half a mouse in a slipper and treading on deceased and mangled bird, in the dark, at around 3am. Fortunately with house cats I'm no longer in receipt of such gifts.

Had the mouse in the shoe, in the boot, up the back of the radiator and a few remains as toe jam...., and rat behind the storage thingy. That was fun, especially when ratty made a break for it, three hunters tuned in and locked on and ratty got very concerned. Lots of rat concern everywhere, needed a lot of disinfectant and disposable gloves. However with the aid of gardening gloves we got ratty away to a safe hedge. All that was missing was the piano music from the western bar brawl for the comedy effect of the chase.

Sorry to hear the bad news Daston. frown

Always sad times to lose one. Our Mitzy is a 24/7 house cat, my wife point blank refused to get another cat and let them go outside.

At least she's pleased the tree is up.
