Gretch' is preparing for the day she is a crazy cat lady, with a whiff of pee!
You seriously think I haven't already unlocked that achievement?!?

I went out last night, to a party/rave type affair. After which we went back to someone's place, where there was a beautiful 18 month old black cat. The owner is already tired of him and offered I could take him home with me! Who goes out on the lash and takes at cat home with them at 5am... Last night it wasn't (was almost) me #feelingproud.

Are you sure the cat will be alright where he is? After all, it'd only be one more...

[quote=Gretchen]A friend has given me a huge cat tree as her three have lost interest in it. Picked it up at lunch time and it's proved very popular.

Best bit of kit we ever got for the cats is the cat tree. Millie sleeps on it, Lard-arse Moglet keeps breaking it. This is the second tree he has broken the platform on . He eventually broke all three on the first tree & is busy on its replacement!

Mine are loving the tree! Lebowski is usually at the top and Frida and Walter like to play hide and seek in the alcoves.

Took Frida on another topless evening hoon. She's so well behaved bless her.

Has anyone cat proofed their garden?
We really don't want Indy to get over the fence but want him to be able to go outside.

Something is trying to adopt us.

Collar has gone, marked where it was, fleas have moved in, had tried the number on the collar but she was flighty and legged it. No reply on the number, need to get her checked for a chip. Nearly trusts us enough. Was in a worse state but could not get near her a few weeks ago.

Edit. Pic deleted as there is an owner.

My garden is too big and full of tall trees/shrubs to even consider this. I'm still working on building a Cattery out of an old aviary. I've got together lots of climbing branches and accessories. Just need to decide whether it's coming off the summerhouse, yet to be purchased shed or the back of the dining room.

At the moment no one is in any hurry to move

Mycroft is going in for the snip today so he hasn't been fed since 8pm last night. To say he's being a bit insistent this morning would be an understatement!

Well he's back.. Have made my peace offering in the form of some cooked chicken.

He seems ok, just a little groggy after the anaesthetic. I know its a routine procedure and exceptionally low risk but it's still a GA and I was mightily relieved to get the call saying he was ok afterwards smile

Sophie had her own trip to the vets this morning for her boosters so when she came up to me like this:

I was half expecting revenge.. Bless her though she promptly led down next to me and fell asleep. Guess I must be forgiven smile

don't laugh but go to a large cat show - there are loads of products (and ideas!) on how to catproof your garden (of and the crazy cat lady stereotype? That's for a reason!!!)

My garden would be impossible to cat proof, far too large for a start. I've still got to dismantle and collect the aviary at the bottom of my friend's garden and rebuild as a Cattery. Just not sure where to put it. Away from the house off of a summerhouse or shed? Walk the cats down to it? Or directly off the house? With easier access - far better option, just involves more work cutting out some shrubs and moving some stuff etc.
I've also seen a small cage attached from a window so cats can laze in the sun. Looks good if you're limited on space.

:haha: irocfan. What were you doing there?! Takes one to know one wink
