Millie vs. the Furminator..........

She quite likes it, just wriggled when she has had enough. Not brave enough to try it on Moglet yet, he won't be quite as gentle in letting you know he has had enough!

Does anyone have experience of Norwegian forest cats?
There is a localish breeder but when I sent of an email enquiry about kittens, it was like an interview!
Would appreciate some owner views if possible.

TBH from what I can gather that is a sign of a good breeder

Not knowing what a Furminator is, I assumed that it was the name of a newly acquired cat of prodigious battle strength! It does sound like a contestant in 'Robot Wars'...

Hmm. Puss returns this am dry and fluffy (after a night of wet) and without the "Please contact the vet" collar. Methinks another family have been adopted. Wait and see if they contact the vet.

But the condition seems to be improving, front legs are getting whiter indicating cleaning more, as opposed to the manky brown they were.

I also had to Google 'Furminator' - hoping that all that pussy pelt wasn't just the result of one helluva fight!

Years ago, our Siamese would moult quite a lot with the changing seasons, requiring a great deal of vacuuming to tidy up the house.

My brother decided to cut out the middle man, by using a Hoover Dustette directly on the cat. He switched it on whilst holding her on the carpet, her ears went back and the claws dug into the carpet....then her face showed a look of utter ecstasy as she clearly enjoyed the experience enormously.

But not when he tried it on her tummy - he probably still has the scars!

Shot at? yikes When is that likely to happen?

When someone listens to cat haters on PH suggesting they use an air rifle to deter cats from pooping on their grass

Unfortunately there's a sick fk in and around my part of the world who's doing far worse than simple shooting

That's the wrong phrase for here really, forger/mimic isn't right either

laugh Millie is no fighter, I have only ever seen her fight once when she was backed into a corner, she went crazy I was surprised how vicious she could be. Normally she runs, super quick & agile - the feline version of aerial atom!

The Furminator is great for getting all the dead fur out of cats

Yes, I remember this wker on the news. Would be wonderful if he got caught by some of those animal rights activists wouldn't it. I'd be there with a bag of popcorn.

Not mine, but one of the OH's moggies (she's a vet who's a feline specialist).

Our poor cat(s)

we've had some workmen around in the last week. The younger of the two has been fine, the elder (much bigger) of the two has been freaked right out. He stressed himself out so much he ended up panting like a dog with his tongue hanging out frown

Anyways: Here he is

Daft bugger

Puss is starting to clean himself. Not seen him do this to date. Tried to curl up on the landing for the night as well but not yet, still has issues with existing moggies and still has fleas though vet reckons they should lesson somewhat now after treatment and continued combing. Spends the day under the cars or in the hedge.

Cheeky sod tried to nab a pork chop this evening as well. Strength must be coming back. Still no idea if anyone else is his minions or just feeding what they think is a stray. If we end up with him, vet will be snip snip.

Edit. Pic deleted. Seems there is an owner.

He's looking healthier already. Good job. Contact your local Cats Protection League. They issue vouchers for neutering for £5, or £40 toward the cost.

What to buy every cat owner for Christmas - a fake tongue so they can lick their cat without getting fur in their mouths
