Yeah - been an interesting evening to say the least - I'll say no more than calling the Rev. Mike and leaving a message on his answer phone at 11pm after going round the Church Yard with the missus getting freaked out by the birds fleeing their roosts, making the 'foody' noise while shaking a food bowl - we heard a very faint 'meow' from inside the church.

He called us back (I guess he uses the answer machine as a screening device) as he'd got out of bed to return the call - I legged it up to the Rectory, got the Church key, then spent the next hour trying to get the little git to come with us - she was totally freaked - managed to get her into her box in the end, and she had a good moan.

Anyway, home now as nothing had happened.

Positives - we've now met half the village properly and been invited to have many cups of tea.

Thanks all.
I hope she didn't crap in the crypt!

Wow! I wonder what possessed her? Also strange/good/spooky that your other cat wouldn't go out. That village of yours, bit Wickerman is it?

So glad she's back though. Perhaps attach a little St Christopher or a crucifix to her collar in future.

yes love the blue eyes!

Found the original photo from the advert when we bought our pair 9 years ago.. again I think it was the eyes that did it.

Shame the blue fades after a few weeks but she's still a cutey.

This one makes me lol ever time though:

A friend of mine is a fireman and a while back was feeding a stray cat. He tried hard to find it's owner or a home, alas to no avail. He ended up reluctantly taking her on. And of course started to love her. Unfortunately this weekend it looked like she'd been involved in an accident. He's just posted this up

This is just down the road from me and there are reports she's not the first. He sold his motorbikes at the weekend to cover vet bills. I've offered him my Christmas money and suggested he contact CPL to see if they can help. Does anyone know any other organisations that might be able to assist? Long shot I know. But he does so much for our community and the local youth (rebuilding skate park and stuff in the community inc the graffiti bridge that features on PH).

I'm all for heading a vigilante group to track down who did this then swing them round by the neck.

Where is he based?

In St Neots. It's the thought it might be youths. The ones he has fought to have amenities for for years, built stuff for the community. Retaining fireman for the town. This cat has brought out another side to him too, he loves her dearly.
