Was it wrong to reach for the camera before helping him out of the box......

Moglet is gorgeous. I had a cat Matisse, (kind of Norwegian/Maine Coon cross) who was daftly similar and slept on his back. Beauty.

Ishka thinks that Echo is maybe just a little bit daft

Edit: Ah no, she was just waiting for her to fall off...

New family member!

We haven't named her yet as she's only been with us a couple of days. She seems to be super chuffed that we rescued her! Super affectionate and her purr sounds like heavy machinery.

Took this this morning whilst she was trying to stuff her face in my breakfast!

She's about 2 years old (and apparently ginger females are quite rare?) and very pretty. She looks very much like a smaller, female Louie! but as soon as we landed eyes on her we knew we'd picked right.

Have you named your pretty redhead yet? How's she settling in?

Walter is guarding the Close this morning. Not sure what's out there but Lebowski ran to the bottom of the drive and back earlier too.

Cookie, completely ignoring his blanket (just in shot top right), guarding some fluid supplies with his eyes closed.

I made this cat tree some time ago. Initially Missy would not go near it but it's now (fortunately) become the first place to look if I'm wondering where she is.

If she's not on the tree then it's quite likely she's occupying my seat on the sofa (sorry, her seat on the sofa which she occasionally allows me to use).

One of mine (Ishka) has suddenly gone off the rails, growling and hissing at Echo. She was a bit off yesterday evening, taking herself away and not playing and through the night she wouldn't let Echo near her and they've had a couple of pretty alarming sounding fights.

Currently have them separated but think I'll take Ishka to the vet today if I can in case there's something wrong with her

Mine go through phases, but there usually something that sets them off (like Beauty being spooked by another cat thru the window & her not realising Pepi is there).

This sounds a bit different, I think a trip to the Vets is a good idea - but I'd take both (separate baskets), that way she won't come home smelling different and make it worse.

Pick up some Pet Remedy plug ins whilst you're out & put them in their favourite rooms

There is so much bad news around, I thought I would post some good news on here.

The weekend before Christmas my mums cat went missing, he just didn't come back home one evening. Mum lives in the middle of the countryside in a little village so she went knocking on doors, put up posters in her village and others nearby, notified local(ish) vets and shelters. No sign of him on local lanes hurt either. Christmas and New Year came and went and still no sign so we were all resigned to the inevitable. frown

On Thursday I answered the phone to an almost hysterical parent shrieking down the phone at me that he had just come through the cat flap! Very, very thin, very hungry and apparently miaowing like crazy. Mum gave him a little bit of wet food that he hoovered up and demanded more (which she didn't give him in case it was too much for him).

She took him down the vet yesterday who was utterly gobsmacked at the fact he had survived and reckoned he had got shut in somewhere. Since then, the feeding has been little and often with water mixed in to help hydrate him. He has been very vocal and extraordinarily affectionate to mum who tells me he is 'bragging' about his adventures all the time. hehe

He is now sooo grounded! biggrin

That's great news Ace-T.

Mine have all been completely unhinged this week Manginger, inc the dogs. Over the two full moon days it was actually getting pretty scary! They've calmed down since the 'snow' and are snuggling back up. Hope Iska is ok.

My best friend of 35 years had her dear old cat Nerbal PTS yesterday :'(. She was rescued years ago after one of my neighbours neglected her. My friend took her in. She was long haired black cat with the brightest green eyes which were often the only thing you could see when she was hidden under a bed. Never ventured further than the bottom of the garden. Was off her food, urinating in the hall in Oct. vet said it was stress (friend was redecorating). But Nerbal was curling up on her pillow at night and her breath becoming increasingly bad. My friend knew there was more to it. Vet eventually found a huge cyst in her mouth and there was nothing more to be done. RIP Nerbal my little pinball.

And last week a mutual friend of ours and his husband had their Billy PTS. Another old handsome prince. I took this pic of Billy in Spring last year.

Very sorry to hear that Gretchen, the little monsters have such a hold on our hearts. frown

Hope there is good news ManG. Let us know will you?

Further to Frida's fascination with Christmas decorations i thought I would post the story of our Christmas tree this year, in pictures...

A nice festive tree with decorations I have had for years, some of which have been given to me by friends and family.

Let's consider our strategy here.

Hmmm, what next...

Going, going...

This is fun!

Aaand we are done!

I keep crying for their cats. Im going to shut down when it's mine. Hopefully a very long way off.

OMG hehe there were as many decorations under and behind mine when we took it down and most of the branches are bent.

Walter has been sulking in the arm of this sofa for a while. I've just figured out why. The tree was in this corner.
