Ours is currently going for its mad hour.
Tail bushed up like a raccoons, massive ridge down his back, eyes have gone from blue to black.
I can hear Mrs Magpie screaming as he stalks her!

He also caught his first mouse last week.
Came in proud as punch holding it so tightly and purring away.
I have a photo which I'll post up a bit later.
I managed to prize it from him and put it outside, a bit mangled and a bit bloody but it didn't half scram!

Timmy probably 12, he adopted us 3 years ago. He likes to drink from a mug. He has had a tough life and is struggling with arthritis in his back legs and kidneys not 100 percent.

Timmy isn't very well. He has been at the vets all weekend, suspected kidney failure and related blindness that the vet may not be able to fix. I suspect we will have that awful decision to make during the coming week. frown

Lard arse Moglet has wrecked another cat tree. The base plates of the platforms keep snapping where he jumps up from the floor and swings on them.

Sadly Timmy will be put to sleep this afternoon. Kidneys not responding to treatment, blindness irreversible and an infected foot has developed gangrene and will need to be amputated.

Discussed with the vet. His recommendation is that life for Timmy will be full of pain and discomfort.

I am upset that I can't be there. He is such a sweet friendly cat.

Thanks for your kind words folks.

Timmy has only been with us for 3 year but we have known him since he was a kitten

He was rescused from a feral litter as a kitten and lived with the old lady next door, she died and Timmy then lived with her son in the same house. The son was ill with cancer and went to hospital for 6 months and never came out. Timmy was fed by another neighbour but was all alone in the house.

One day he followed me home, and just moved in. He is the best natured cat I have ever known, quite a big cat with starling green eyes, and of our 3 cats he was the one I called mine.

Feel pretty sad, and more so as I am 200 miles away today and haven't seem him since I took him to the vet in Friday evening.

Edited to add

Wife just texted. Timmy has gone. RIP Timmy.

weeping Poor Timmy, but lucky Timmy to have had a loving home. I had a stray for some years and he was always apparently grateful for his home with us. He was Tommy...
