He's already showing a huge longing to get outside as well. I'm hoping in three weeks or so once he can go out he'll be more active during the days when he can come and go as he pleases and then sleepier at night!
Letting him out should make a big difference. He'll explore all day then come in for food and a cuddle and off to bed smile

We had the same problem with one of our previous cats. When kept indoors she meowed a lot and wanted constant food and attention. Once we started letting her out she calmed down a lot and settled into a more normal routine.

Mercury (15 years old, but still with his inner kitten very much intact) thinking he's a seedling in our greenhouse.

Tried Dexter with the laser pen today (my go to toy with every other cat I've known!) and he didn't like it at all. Well, he loved it when it was there but got really stressed when it went away as he hadn't caught it.

Ten minutes later and he's still wandering round the place looking for it under sofas and stuff, making sad little noises!

I even tried having it finish on a toy that he could attack to simulate the catch but he wasn't fooled. So he now thinks there's a red insect in his house that he has to find!

Lebowski has never showed an interest to go outside. I'm not sure he'd cope well despite being fairly rural. He still spooks easily and always seems happy to stay indoors and annoy the dogs.

However I thought I'd take him out for some sun on his harness at the weekend. He showed an interest, but still spooked, in almost everything that moved or spoke and was fascinated by my Geordie neighbour Dave's deep dulcet tone!

Poor Dexter is absolutely desperate to get outside already and it's only been a week frown

I'm seriously considering getting one of these and letting him 'walk' around our back garden for the next three weeks! My only worry is that whilst he is confined to the house unless harnessed, it's only going to make him more aggrevated (and more vocal, if that's even possible!) about not being able to get out there properly.

Alvin in the bath, kind of. She (I know!) likes to sit in the corner occasionally.

It is better to finish the game on a food treat I find and not to do it for too long (5-7 mins)
