I've had a long hard day today. kids had already eaten and didn't save me any, I was too tired to cook for just me. So I tried to eat a simple salad and cheese sandwich...

With one arm cocked trying to fend of Lebowski! FML.

Been thinking about this quite a lot recently. It is two years since Wednesday left us and I still tear up thinking about it. We have 4 beautiful furry monsters with us now and, as you say, they will never replace her, they add to our life. One thing that has struck me though is that when the little furbags are with you for so long, their personalities are embedded into your life like Mr Snrub has described. However I think I need to remember not to compare our new friends with old ones as they have not yet had that lengthy opportunity (23 years!) to train us into their personality traits.

Our 4 have made a great start in doing that though, Thor is a teddy bear who demands cuddles, Freya is a mischievous little girl who chats back at you if you tell her off, Fester is a sweet, shy boy who gives headbutts to tell you he is hungry and Gomez is a tiny little boy who shouts a lot and loves belly rubs. They are all beautiful kitties and I am grateful they are in my life.
Glad to hear your little gang is doing so well. It really is true that every cat has their own unique personality. Looking at it from another level I know it's unfair to compare a cat to its predecessor since each has its own idea of how to show affection, and it is only performing actions that it has learned will achieve the desired result. They couldn't understand that a cat who used to live there would have acted differently. So my old cat would have learned to just take whatever food he wanted, whereas new cat was presumably scolded for doing such things as a kitten so will wait her turn

looks like he's going to deal very severely with you when he gets out of that - looks properly pissed off!

One of our kittens has decided the top of a door is the place to be.

Alan has responded to one of his slaves leaving, by taking over the food provision role.

He made his discontent know as shortly after I took that picture and went out he pulled the carpet off the gripper rod!

Mrs Iroc was rather pissed off when Tigger making himself comfortable on her boob decided instead to wipe his arse there, leaving a nice little skidmark eekbiglaugh

It's been nearly a week since Dexter first went outside and every single day he's having VERY loud altercations with the neighbours unneutered cat.

I imagine the neighbours are getting royally cheesed off with the din. It seems to be verbals only ever time rather than physical stuff, which is good, but at what point does the hope of them learning to steer clear of each other/leave each other alone fade completely? I guess a week isn't that long in the grand scheme of things, but I'm on edge permanently when he's out.

I can't even tell who's starting on who as its happening in other people's gardens - I guess it's essentially a turf war!

Gorgeous, especially the silver one.
Do you have breeders details?

Some damn fine kitties in this thread

here are my coons, they are 2 in august, so a couple more years of growing yet

General Custard the third, he loves to sit on my shoulders as i walk about, the downside is hes quite large and heavy

well he would look large if it was not for his brother "big paws"

hes not really much of a lap cat, on the grounds that our laps are not big enough lol

invetigating, it takes a while to get around corners
