It's Caturday- Post some cats (vol 3)
Discussion
Daughters cat has come to stay , I feel a bit sad for the little lad as he’s a house cat as she lives on a very busy road in nottingham , I get him out with the lead on & he’s seems to love it , until it’s time to come in and world war 3 breaks out , will only come in when he’s ready
It’s a bit sad he can’t just do his stuff , but I’d not want anything to happen to him , he’s become best of friends with all the neighbours , they love him

Lots of people do, it’s safer for the cat and local wildlife than just letting them out.
Well I never.I haven't seen anyone walking their cat ever, mine just come and go as they please via the cat flap.

We adopted ours when she was 7, and up to that point, had always been an indoor cat. At the time, our place was on a main street, so there was no way I was going to put her at risk by letting her out - as much as I'd loved to have done it. We then moved to another place off the main street, but still within easy walking distance of it, so it was still a non-starter for me.I haven't seen anyone walking their cat ever, mine just come and go as they please via the cat flap.
Next time around, I'm going to start with kitten(s) and get them used with a harness as soon as possible - ditto travelling in cars.
If I lived in a property that was sufficiently away from a busy road, I'd have no problem letting a cat out.
