They are. When Mrs Reb said she wanted a cat I jokingly said 'get two and make sure they are proper sized cats....' Which is basically how we ended up with Chester and Mab.
Indi is still very much a kitten at about 11-12 weeks, I'm hoping she will bring the 'kitten' out in Mab again. Since Chester died she has been very subdued and even the red dot of doom doesn't hold her attention for more than half a minute.

I am so glad you chose that half of the name!

I'm ashamed to admit the full name does make me laugh - sounds like a 1970s pimp introducing one of his friends.

My being out at work all day really appears to wear these two out

They've been anxious all day in case you don't return (to feed them, obviously, with a bit of cuddling) and now their nerves are frayed to bits!

This is Mab, Chesters sister. She was always the more playful of our two.

She appears to be unhappy, certainly very quiet (well for her anyway) which I suppose is quite understandable after losing her sibling after 8 years of never being apart.

Mrs Reb has been looking and after making a few calls has found this little princess. Meet Indi... She does have a much longer name but i've promised not to use it unless she is in trouble...

We will be collecting her highness on Sunday next and I just wish I could explain to Mab that she has a new playmate on the way.
Really hope they get along.
Very interested to hear how you integrate them and how they respond. Our MC is now 6 and we are thinking of adding a kitten. He (the sitting one) is highly territorial though, and vey protective of us. The potential problems in an introduction seem enormous...

Boris is now used to his microchip cat flap and seems to have grown some Kahoona's now!

Post furball standoff with next door mog.

It was all a bit much so indoors for a much needed kip.

Make sure they are chipped, at least we found out.

I hate posting photos here when there's been bad news. I'm so sorry for all the recent loses. Spider is an outdoor savvy cat. However Lebowski and Walter so far are happy being indoors. I live fairly rurally but even so. Such sadness.

If only that were true...According to my sons they'd been asleep on or under their beds all day. And they should know since at 6.45pm they were still in their Pyjamas having played 12 hours of Call Of Duty!!!

Don't worry. Good to see others in good times. We were surprised at how far away he was. I am glad I did not know before, I would be panicking every day he went out. But he would not have been him if we kept him in.

Thanks for the comments to the others as well. His partner in crime has not really sussed it yet. They spent a lot of time cuddled up. Mind you, good job they did not eat curry. She is around 15' another rescue.
Had him from the rescue centre at three years old, we think. So around 13.

I don't much care for TV. Watching life is far more fascinating. Tonight I've watched Lebowski and Walter play together for the first time. Lebowski has gone from a cat I was told would hunt down and tear another cat, within a several mile radius, to pieces, to one who is rolling over and encouraging a kitten to play, in seven months. No pictures as I just wanted to hide and watch them. It was lovely.

My condolences. As you say, better to know than spend time wondering and worrying.
