He's 9 and was a stray all his life till rescued spring time last year in a dreadful state frown We homed him in August once he was well enough and he is loving having a warm bed to sleep on and plentiful food.

It's just not fair!!! cry

My condolensces.
Seems to be a theme.
I read a heartbreaking story on here of a little cat and the owners battle with some illness.. I think it was FIPS?

He is in for surgery this Tuesday. Having bloods and scanned for secondary tumours. The results of which will of course determine what's next.

He got very stressed just going to the vets when we found the lump so the operation so soon will not be good to his well being but has to be done. At this stage though I'm concerned mostly with the anaesthetic as he has scarring on his lungs from cat flu whilst a stray. Just normal day to day breathing is loud and a bit wheezy. He's been anaesthetised in rescue when they amputated his front paw so hoping he comes through again.

He may be a relatively new to the household, but he's loved and adored by all already. My teen was in tears yesterday. frown

Thank you everyone.

He's doing well. Large area of skin removed and sent off to the lab. No other tumours found on the scan so all looking so much more hopeful thankfully.

He hid away last night under my bed and refused to eat but this morning he was asleep in his favourite place so hoping his appetite came back in the night too.

Question for Bex if I may?

Why on my cats check up did they ask if he had a runny tummy? Seemed a strange question to ask at the time, only now I thin he has. Well at least one of my brood of 6 does but it can be difficult to tell which one it is unless you see them use the tray.

Fingers crossed. It sounds like he's being looked after though - really important.

He's doing really well and back to his normal self eating and sleeping, lol!

Results came back from the lab on the tumour they cut away and it confirmed what we already knew and that it was a slow growing tumour, unlikely to come back and that a decent margin of clear skin was removed around the tumour.

So in the space of a couple of weeks where I thought I was going to loose him just when his life finally got better and he had a loving forever home, he now has forever in a loving home to enjoy it. smile
