Missed this - all three of the dried foods I have used for any length of time with my sighthounds have been 20% protein. I've never tried a higher protein kibble, but mine do get a little bit of tinned meat or fish with theirs.
Thanks Moorx, the VN who visited did also mention tins of fish etc as a treat which is a given i think, maybe the odd bit of raw meat as well since the cats always refused them (weird beast that he is).

Just a waiting game now, although a spanner in the works is the OH's parent offering to take us abroad now in September, not sure whether to wait till after that or just go ahead and look for care when the time comes.

Mine have been on raw food for most of their life, with sardines for breakfast quite often. Not sure whether that's good or bad, the eldest developed a sort of IBS thing last year which we've fixed with a very restricted diet (basically lamb) while her younger sister, who is eleven, still charges around and jumps about like a puppy.

Thought i Would up date this thread.

We are no further forward but have slowed down the search due to going abroad in October, also the charity we passed the Home visit with seem to be lacking in actual dogs let alone pups at present.

Was hoping for a new companion for summer adventures with the family but hey ho!

More when i can give some good news!
