Small update guys, he goes in tomorrow AM for extraction. We will then get to collect him straight from work smile Will let you guys know how he gets on tomorrow.
Aww bless him, just make sure they have him on fluids and good pain relief My Mum and Dad's cat had to have major dental work due to a chronic mouth issue. It definitely helped him.

There is a small chance he may stay overnight, just depends how well he recovers (he may ooze a bit from.his mouth)

Just thought id give an update to the thread. 7/8 months have passed since the extraction and all seems to be going well. Regular steroid injections every4-6weeks or sooner if the gums start to get inflamed.

Until last Friday , I noticed him trying to wee in our spare bedroom which is very strange for him, so put him in his litter and leave him to it. During the course of the next few hours he has tried going to wee every 5 mins , a phone call to the vet and an emergency appointment booked off we go. The vet thinks it may be a bladder/water infection so gives him an antibiotic of some sort and were told to keep an eye on it over the next 24 hours. Saturday afternoon nothing is any better so we take him back in , the vet is not happy with how he has deteriorated over night and decide to keep him in and run tests. They had him on morphine and IV drips and carried out X-rays on the bladder. Bladder wall should be 4mm but at the time of xray it was 16mm and they have suspected cancer or severe infection.

We paid £500 for him to stay in and run the tests they want another £500 for them to be sent off and examined by a specialist to see if its cancer or otherwise. In all truth this isnt really a viable option, if we knew he was going to be better at the end of it I would pay it at a heartbeat and worry about the money side after. He's on 10mg of tramadol twice a day and has to go back this Friday for another antibiotic and for another check up, they have told us to be prepared for the serious talk if nothing has improved.
