Lots of family run businesses seem to have dogs on the premises.
The last two garages I have worked in had dogs ,they know when its tea and biccy time and who is a soft touch and who gives the best belly rubs and who will tolerate a pooch sleeping on their feet .
If I could take a dog with me to work I would get another in a heartbeat .
It must save a fortune for the owners in dog walking dog minder etc fees.

I used to take my two Dachshunds to my office. They also had 2 springers there. Everyone with a dog had to keep it at their desk (easier with Dachshunds!). Many clients, partners and suppliers had dog friendly offices, they never caused a problem and people were always respectful of non dog people. I always found it a very positive experience if I went to a meeting with a dog.... If my dogs were left at my desk I was usually asked if they could join the meeting so someone could have one to cuddle. smile

This wasn't in Croydon it was down near gatwick, perhaps it's a nationwide policy now?

It looked like a great place to work really.
They moved head office from Croydon to Gatwick a few years ago.

They began as Spillers and Friskies in New Malden, who were bought by Nestle and then Nestle then merged with Purina. smile

I worked there

I work from home mainly so mine is. Of course when I have to actually "work" properly I can't take a dog but the OH stays at home.

Been to a few garages and various places that allow dogs, never had one in my old office careers though.

I've never heard of this.

What a truly brilliant idea. It must be a lot nicer being at work with your dog there too.

My daughter's office always has dogs knocking around.

Mind you, they also have a massive slide and a ball pit...

Guessed so, I have a friend who works there for purina and she was telling me about it. I offered to lend her our hyper jack Russell to ruin all chances or quiet/work.
