That wasn't for your daughter getmecoat Once you said where she'd got it from I understood smile

It was for the author of the book!!
Fair enough, I was perhaps too quick to dive in thinking someone was suggesting my offspring wasn't perfect...

Minor set back, after being told kitten would be ready today / tomorrow, they've just called to say the vet thinks he's younger than they first thought so won't be neutered etc until next week. Ready hopefully for the weekend. Got to tell 2 super excited kids they've got another week to wait when I get home...

How old is he then? I thought CPL usually give a voucher for neutering

He doesn't look old enough to e neutered to me to be honest

What did you get in the end, toy wise? My best purchase was a cat tree smile

Just the one? I can see two from where I am sitting, and there are more littered around the house hehe

The floor to ceiling one is fairly epic biggrin

Well there's a bit of a story, after a long and confusing phone conversation with CPL turned out we're adopting from blue cross all along...

I can't remember how many weeks old they said, but you're right, vet said another week, and that photo was from nearly 2 weeks ago.

We've got a cat tree, mouse on a string, tassels on a stick and string and 5 small balls to lose under the furniture.

I think that those are cruel. Nothing for the cat to actually catch and "kill". There are some great cat toy mice these days that give our cats endless fun and they get to actually catch it.

laugh very frustrating but at least you know now smile

They recommend 4 months now, mine were done at 6 which is probably why he looks too young to me

All good, but you know the best toy for a kitten? Another kitten biggrin

2 kittens is good advice. They will keep each other company when you are out, will help them settle into catteries better when you go on holiday plus they are twice as much fun.

But be warned, 3 is a lot of cats, for some reason going from 2 to 3 doubled the workload on the human staff/slaves

Nothing wrong with them in short bursts. Mine goes utterly crazy when it comes out, but I only use it for a few minutes a day. They all have different tastes though so it's a case of trying different types until you find the ones the prefer (and seemingly the more expensive said toy is, the more likely they are to ignore it)
